File must be UTF-8 encoded. Let us know if you need to use some other encoding set.

Content

There are 2 types of feeds:

1. Complete feed (preferred for smaller feeds):

The feed must contain the complete listing. As soon as a new ad appears, it will be inserted on Altiusclassified, as soon as an ad ceases to appear, it will be removed.

2. Delta feed:

The feed will contain the new ads for that specific date. After a complete feed is created, a new feed must be generated everyday (with "_date" added to the name, ie: with the new ads for that day. If a specific ad must be deleted, it can be included with the <ID> field set, and <STATUS> D <\/STATUS> field (for deletion).

Refresh Frequency

The feed will be processed on a weekly basis, between 12:00 am EST and 6:00 am EST (UTC/GMT -5 hours). We can arrange for less frequent updates as well.

Location

You can host your feed, and we'll download it from the URL you provide us. If you prefer, we can set up an FTP account for you to upload the feed on a regular basis.

Compression

If your feed is too large, you can compress it (as .zip) to reduce bandwidth consumption.

General fields

Field Description   ad_id This field will be generated autometically. mandatory ad_title Ad title. It must be enclosed on a wrapper. mandatory description Ad description. It must be enclosed on a wrapper. mandatory date_added The date when the ad was posted. Format yyyy-mm-dd (hh:mm:ss optional) mandatory addr_email Contact email. It will be used on the item page when a user clicks on the "REPLY TO THIS AD" link. It must be enclosed on a wrapper. mandatory ctry_id(140-US) Country abbreviation code where the ad is located (ie: US). default state_id State abbreviation code where the ad is located (ie: FL). Please let us know on which countries you will post ads, and we'll send you the complete state abbreviation codes for it. States ID's mandatory city_id City name where the ad is located (ie: Miami). States and cities ID's mandatory zip_code If available, zip code where the ad is located. optional cat_id Altiusclassified category id # (ie: for vehicles, 378) mandatory Photo Image url for the ad. We'll download the image from that url. It must be enclosed on a wrapper. optional Photo Same as IMAGE_URL, for a second image. optional price Item price in the country currency, no symbol (for example: 84900) mandatory type_id PRO (for professional, broker, dealer, business); PAR (for particular sellers) mandatory addr_phone Contact phone. optional
